RESULTS

Today at 2:30 pm ET on ESPN+ (and airing at 7:30 pm local on BT Sport in the UK), Billy Joe Saunders headlines from Lamex Stadium in Stevenage, England, facing Shefat Isufi for the vacant WBO super middleweight title.

If he wins, Saunders will be a two-weight titleholder in boxing, and could set up a big fight with the likes of Callum Smith for later this year. Isufi is the big underdog here, a thrice-beaten fringe contender originally from Serbia, fighting out of Germany, but he is on a 10-fight win streak, for what it’s worth.

In the co-feature, heavyweight Joe Joyce will return against Alexander Ustinov, and Brad Foster will face Ashley Lane with the British and Commonwealth super bantamweight titles on the line.

We will be here with live coverage, but it will be more “shadow coverage,” as our attention this afternoon is focused on the World Boxing Super Series show from Glasgow. But we’ll be watching, and the thread is open if you’re watching this show instead of that one.

Running order:

ESPN+ (2:30 pm ET)

  • Dennis McCann (debut) vs Kamil Jaworek (5-12, 3 KO), bantamweights, 4 rounds
  • Brad Foster (10-0-1, 3 KO) vs Ashley Lane (13-8-2, 1 KO), super bantamweights, 12 rounds
  • Willy Hutchinson (7-0, 5 KO) vs Ondrej Budera (9-10-1, 6 KO), light heavyweights, 6 rounds
  • Joe Joyce (8-0, 8 KO) vs Alexander Ustinov (34-3, 25 KO), heavyweights, 10 rounds
  • Billy Joe Saunders (27-0, 13 KO) vs Shefat Isufi (27-3-2, 20 KO), super middleweights, 12 rounds
