Today at 2 pm ET streaming right here on Bad Left Hook (we’ll have the video up top closer to start time), and also streaming on DAZN and Facebook, the undercard fighters for Saturday’s Canelo-Jacobs will speak at the final press conference ahead of this weekend’s show.

We previewed the undercard earlier this week, and here’s the full lineup:

Main show

  • Vergil Ortiz Jr (12-0, 12 KO) vs Mauricio Herrera (24-8, 7 KO), junior welterweights, 10 rounds
  • Joseph Diaz Jr (28-1, 14 KO) vs Freddy Fonseca (26-2-1, 17 KO), super featherweights, 10 rounds
  • Lamont Roach Jr (18-0-1, 7 KO) vs Jonathan Oquendo (30-5, 19 KO), super featherweights, 10 rounds

Prelims

  • Sadam Ali (27-2, 14 KO) vs Anthony Young (20-2, 7 KO), welterweights, 10 rounds
  • John Ryder (27-4, 15 KO) vs Bilal Akkawy (20-0-1, 16 KO), super middleweights, 12 rounds
  • Aram Avagyan (8-0-1, 4 KO) vs Francisco Esparza (9-0-1, 3 KO), featherweights, 10 rounds
  • Alexis Espino (1-0, 1 KO) vs Billy Wagner (1-0, 0 KO), super middleweights, 4 rounds

The main card is set to begin at 9 pm ET, with DAZN prelims at 7:30 pm ET; I suspect those will be Ryder-Akkawy and Ali-Young. Fights will stream for free on RingTV.com beginning at 6 pm ET and will air on various regional sports networks; I suspect those will be Avagyan-Esparza and Espino-Wagner. Don’t hold me to any of that, but at any rate we’ll be here on Saturday with full live coverage of the entire show, start to finish, and round-by-round updates for the main card.

Anyway, today these dudes will talk about stuff. Diaz has already threatened violence on Fonseca for a stunt he pulled at the Grand Arrivals, and Ortiz and Herrera have exchanged a little verbally.

It’s another goofy fight week event! Maybe Richard Sturm will show up with his hair!
