Undefeated super bantamweight prospect Thomas Patrick Ward is the latest fighter to sign with MTK Global, as the company and fighter made the announcement on Wednesday of their deal.
“I’m pleased to be teaming up with MTK Global because I believe they can get me the biggest and best fights out there, so I’m really looking forward to it,” Ward said.
“MTK Global are doing fabulous things and getting fighters the best opportunities out there for them and are doing the job right. Now that I’ve joined MTK Global I’m aiming for world titles. I want the biggest fights possible and I believe I can win world titles in multiple weight divisions.
“I believe fans will see a lot more of me now and see me in big fights. I’m confident that MTK Global will deliver for me and produce good things. I’ve been under the radar for a bit, but now I’m going to be on the big stage and everyone will start to take notice and see what I’m all about.”
Ward (26-0, 4 KO) is a 25-year-old English fighter who won the British title at 122 pounds back in 2017, beating Jazza Dickens via technical decision in nine rounds. He made a successful defense against Sean Davis six months later, and never lost the title in the ring.
He made his U.S. debut in February, coming to Mulvane, Kansas, for a spot on a ShoBox card where he was matched against Jesse Angel Hernandez. Ward completely dominated, sort of stealing the show that evening by picking Hernandez apart and winning a near-shutout 10-round decision.
