Between this and Callum Smith confirming his fight with Hassan N’Dam, I believe that’s the last of the TBAs for the moment.
Periban (25-4-1, 16 KO) would have been the first Mexican super middleweight champion had his majority decision brawl with Sakio Bika gone his way in 2013, but the defeat instead kicked off an 0-3-1 skid that saw him draw with Badou Jack before losses to J’Leon Love and James DeGale. A five-fight winning streak followed, which was snapped by Avni Yildrim in May of 2017.
This will be his first fight since.
Buatsi (10-0, 8 KO) has knocked out his last four opponents in under six cumulative rounds. His last bout, the longest of the four, saw him stop Liam Conroy to claim the British light heavyweight belt.
