Gabriel Flores Jr. co-headlines Oscar Valdez-Jason Sanchez against Salvador Briceno

Flores scored a brutal knockout earlier this month in his native Stockton

Top Rank

19-year-old Stockton prospect Gabriel Flores Jr.’s 35-day turnaround will see him face Mexico’s Salvador Briceno in Reno, where he’ll serve as the co-main event of Oscar Valdez vs. Jason Sanchez on ESPN.

Flores (13-0, 6 KO) has not had more than three months between fights since debuting in 2017. He last appeared on the Artur Beterbiev/Jerwin Ancajas double bill on May 4, laying out Brazil’s Eduardo Pereira dos Reis with a terrific left hook.

Briceno (15-3, 9 KO) is about par for the course so far. His last two fights against notable opponents saw him swept on the scorecards by Mikhail Alexeev and knocked out by Antonio Moran.

Super featherweight prospect Andy Vences (22-0-1, 12 KO) headlines the ESPN+ undercard against Albert Bell (14-0, 5 KO). The card also features Brazilian Olympic gold medalist Robson Conceicao (12-0, 6 KO) and entertaining light heavyweight Michael Seals (22-2, 16 KO), who has the most cartoonishly villainous BoxRec picture I’ve ever seen.
