UPDATE: Jacobs didn’t “make weight” this morning, but he’ll pay the penalty and the fight is still on.
One of the bigger stories of Canelo vs Jacobs fight week was the fact that the two would have a second-day weigh-in on Saturday morning, where each man had to be 170 pounds or less at 8 am local time in Las Vegas.
That has come and gone, and they’ve done the weigh-in, and the fight is still on and all that, but:
It's #boxing so there's always funny business. Both sides refuse to disclose either man's weight at the Saturday morning #CaneloJacobs weight check. Both were required to be 170 or less at 8 am PT or face financial penalties. They both weighed, the fight is on but no weights.

At Friday’s weigh-in, which featured a big pull-apart bit at the end, Canelo weighed in at 159½ and Jacobs at 160, right at the middleweight limit. The WBC, WBA, and IBF titles are still on the line. It’s just no one’s saying what either guy weighed this morning.
Anyway, the fight goes forward, as it was always going to, nobody’s canceling this thing on Saturday morning. We’ll be here with full live coverage starting at 6:00 pm ET with the prelim fights, and round-by-round updates beginning at 9:00 pm ET with the main card. To watch the fights, sign up for DAZN!
