The fight is over out in Las Vegas, and to the victor go the spoils and all that, as Canelo Alvarez unified three middleweight title belts and retained his Ring Magazine championship with a decision win over Daniel Jacobs.

If you missed the fight, here are some highlights from what was mostly a chess match sort of fight between the two top-tier 160-pound fighters, courtesy DAZN:

Scores for the fight were 115-113, 115-113, and 116-112 for Alvarez. BLH had it 115-113 and 117-111, both cards also for the Mexican superstar.

Alvarez (52-1-1, 35 KO) was simply the better man over the course of 12 rounds tonight, but Jacobs (35-3, 29 KO) proved once again that yes, he is a legitimate top middleweight. It’s the second time he’s come up short in that sort of fight, after losing a decision to Gennadiy Golovkin back in 2017, where he was also very competitive. He’ll surely look to get himself back in this mix, and DAZN is the home to most of the top middleweights, so it may not take long.

As for Canelo, we’ll go deeper into what’s next for him tomorrow morning, right here on Bad Left Hook, at 7 am ET.
