Jazza Dickens will face Nathaniel May on Friday, July 12, in an MTK Global-promoted fight that will air live from Liverpool on ESPN+. The fight will be for the IBF European featherweight title.

You may remember the 28-year-old Dickens (26-3, 11 KO) from his 2016 fight with Guillermo Rigondeaux, where Rigo just thrashed him and broke his jaw in two rounds. He followed that up with a technical decision loss to Thomas Patrick Ward in 2017, and has won four straight since, last fighting on April 19 against Nasibu Ramadhan.

“I’m buzzing to have momentum and this activity will bring the best out of me when I step in there on the night,” Dickens said. “I’ve had a short rest with my family and friends and now we are ready to go again.”

May (20-1, 11 KO) is a 23-year-old Aussie fighter nicknamed “Cheeky,” and he’s on a 16-fight win streak right now. He last fought in October in Belfast, beating Ruslan Berchuk by decision over eight rounds.

“Boxing is massive in the UK so to be back there fighting in a title fight is a big deal for me and I’m really excited,” May said. “I know Jazza is a crafty southpaw and he knows his way around the ring. I’ve got to respect him because if you don’t respect someone like him, you’re in for a shock. This is going to be a great fight for the fans. We can go to war but whatever happens, I’ll be up for the challenge.”
