Hughie Fury’s May 25 return in Manchester has been set for a while, and now he finally has an opponent for the fight, which will air on Channel 5 in the UK.

Fury (21-2, 11 KO) will face Chris Norrad, an unbeaten but untested 35-year-old Canadian. If you feel like you’ve heard this story recently, well, this one isn’t reportedly expected to drive interest in DAZN in Canada.

“The ambition to become world champion is still burning fiercer than ever inside me and I believe that I will get there. It all starts again on the 25th May when I take on the unbeaten Chris Norrad from Canada,” Fury said. “It’s a crucial fight for me live on Channel 5 with millions watching and I know that a knockout performance will get the ball rolling again.”

Norrad (17-0, 8 KO) just fought on Saturday, beating Abraham Pascual by decision over six rounds in Miramichi, New Brunswick. Norrad turned pro in 2009, and for the last three years has fought once a year, every May. This year he’s decided to do it twice in May.

The 24-year-old Fury has lost two of his last three fights, dropping decisions to Joseph Parker and Kubrat Pulev, and between that winning the British heavyweight title by stopping Sam Sexton.

The May 25 card will also feature junior welterweight Steve Brogan (14-1-2, 2 KO) against Adam Hague (14-1-1, 2 KO), and returns for Savannah Marshall and others.
