Daniel Dubois-Nathan Gorman official for July 13th

Joe Joyce will appear on the undercard

Two of Britain’s best young heavyweights are set to go at it on July 13th at the O2 Arena in Greenwich.

Dubois (11-0, 10 KO) had been linked to a fight with Joe Joyce on that date, “The Juggernaut” has stepped aside for now, resulting in the matchup first ordered back in November. Joyce (8-0, 8 KO) will face TBA on the undercard.

Dubois and Gorman (16-0, 11 KO) have both faced Razvan Cojanu and Kevin Johnson recently; Gorman went the distance with both men, while Dubois knocked out Cojanu in two. Dubois was last seen stopping Richard Lartey two weekends ago.

Honestly, I prefer this to the Joyce matchup. Both Dubois and Gorman are young enough to learn and rebound from a loss, and I don’t imagine either of their profiles taking a major hit regardless of the outcome. The 33-year-old Joyce is on the clock, so to speak, and already has an inroad to a world title opportunity with his otherwise-worthless WBA “Gold” belt.
