It’s fight week for Gennady Golovkin, who will be back in action for the first time since he dropped a majority decision to Canelo Alvarez last September. Golovkin (38-1-1, 34 KOs) will be taking on Canadian fighter Steve Rolls (19-0, 10 KOs) in his DAZN debut this weekend, angling towards a fall trilogy with Canelo.
Golovkin has changed some things up since his first professional loss, ultimately parting ways with longtime trainer Abel Sanchez and now working with Johnathan Banks — the former trainer of Wladimir Klitschko. There’s been a lot of speculation as to what Golovkin will look like under the guidance of a new trainer, who is working on some new things with his fighter, and you all can get a glimpse of that in one of their first public training sessions.
Watch Golovkin go through some light shadow boxing and a mitt workout with Banks, and see if you can spot any differences Golovkin’s style.
