Pacquiao vs Thurman odds: Manny remains slight favorite on fight day

Manny Pacquiao and Dillian Whyte are the favorites for today’s big main events from Las Vegas and London.

We’ve got two big cards coming our way today, one in Vegas and one in London, so let’s take a look at the odds as of this writing.

Las Vegas, Nevada

The main event from Vegas tonight will see Manny Pacquiao face Keith Thurman in a WBA welterweight title fight, and this one has been more interesting than usual on the books.

Thurman opened the fight as the slight favorite, but Pacquiao is the current slight favorite, listed between -142 and -189, with Thurman between +122 and +154. It’s a toss-up, basically, and it’s rare for a high level, big time event fight like this one to be seen as this close going in. There is generally a pretty strong favorite.

On the undercard:

  • Yordenis Ugas (-400 to -500) vs Omar Figueroa Jr (+310 to +405)
  • Luis Nery (-1800 to -2775) vs Juan Carlos Payano (+825 to +1750)
  • Caleb Plant (-1250 to -3333) vs Mike Lee (+601 to +1119)
  • Efe Ajagba (-1667 to -3000) vs Ali Eren Demirezen (+800 to +1725)

There are no odds up that I’ve seen for Sergey Lipinets vs Jayar Inson, as Inson has come in on very short notice, replacing John Molina Jr.

London, England

The DAZN-streamed main event from London will see Dillian Whyte take on Oscar Rivas for the interim WBC heavyweight title, with the winner guaranteed — in some fashion, anyway — an eventual — at some time, anyway — shot at the full WBC title, currently held by Deontay Wilder.

Whyte is the solid and clear favorite, listed between -407 and -667, with the visiting Rivas the underdog at +293 to +379. Rivas is a credible fighter, but Whyte is simply the more highly-regarded contender.

On the undercard:

  • Dave Allen (-214 to -250) vs David Price (+165 to +210)
  • Dereck Chisora (-300 to -360) vs Artur Szpilka (+215 to +299)
  • Richard Riakporhe (-200 to -227) vs Chris Billam-Smith (+150 to +186)
  • Lawrence Okolie (-3333 to -10000) vs Marian Angel Gudino (+1000 to +4475)
  • Dan Azeez (-250 to -365) vs Charlie Duffield (+190 to +314)
