Matchroom Boxing’s capsized July 6th Manchester show lives on. Middleweights Anthony Fowler and Brian Rose, who were originally set to duke it out on that card, will instead headline an August 2nd DAZN show in Liverpool that also features the likes of Lewis Ritson, Martin Bakole, and Jack Cullen.

Fowler (9-1, 8 KO) replaces Scott Fitzgerald, who handed the Liverpudlian his first professional defeat this past March, against onetime WBO title challenger Rose (31-5-1, 8 KO). Rose has won a pair of six-rounders since dropping a 2017 decision to Jack Arnfield in a bid for an alphabet trinket.
Ritson (17-1, 11 KO) had a hot streak going before suffering a surprise upset loss to Francisco Patera in Newcastle last October. The 25-year-old “Sandman” faces Joe Hughes (17-4-1, 7 KO), a onetime English super lightweight champion with plenty of experience against local names who’s coming off a close decision loss to Robbie Davies Jr. in a bid for the British belt
Cullen (16-1, 7 KO) was originally slated to face unbeaten Felix Cash, who wound up withdrawing with a hand injury. 34-year-old replacement foe John Harding Jr. (7-0-1, 1 KO) will be taking a massive step up in class, having been booked past four rounds just once.
Bakole (12-1, 9 KO) faces his second opponent since a surprise upset loss to Michael Hunter last October. The Congo-born Scotsman stopped large Polish lad Mariusz Wach in April and now takes on Ecuador’s Ytalo Perea (11-4-2, 7 KO), who fought kickboxing star Tyrone Spong to a split decision loss in December and has also faced Adam Kownacki and Guillermo Jones in his six-year career.
