Tonight at 7 pm ET streaming live on DAZN, top prospect Vergil Ortiz Jr faces Antonio Orozco in a 12-round welterweight main event, with the vacant WBA “gold” title at stake.
Wil Esco will be on the round by round call for the main event and co-feature, and we’ll be here with live results updates throughout the show.
Ortiz, 21, will look to follow up on his very impressive wipeout of tough veteran Mauricio Herrera on May 4, returning home to Texas for this fight with the 31-year-old Orozco, who last year lost a world title fight at 140 to Jose Ramirez.
The co-feature is a bantamweight bout between Joshua Franco and Oscar Negrete, the third meeting between these two. They went to a draw last October, and Franco edged Negrete by split decision in April. Both fights were really good, and it’s nice to see them bring their rivalry to a bigger show.
