The September 28th pay-per-view headlined by Errol Spence Jr. vs. Shawn Porter will be far from a one-fight show. In addition to the super middleweight title fight between Anthony Dirrell and David Benavidez, Premier Boxing Champions revealed that Mario Barrios will fight Batyr Akhmedov in a clash of unbeaten super lightweights and Josesito Lopez will slug it out with John Molina Jr. in a potential show-stealer.

Robert Guerrero and Joey Spencer will compete in separate bouts on the FOX undercard.

Barrios (24-0, 16 KO) and Akhmedov (7-0, 6 KO) are the WBA’s two highest-ranked contenders at 140 pounds, and were ordered to duke it out for the vacant “regular” belt earlier this summer. San Antonio’s Barrios is a longtime PBC regular who’s riding a seven-fight knockout streak, most recently stopping Juan Jose Velasco on the Jarrett Hurd-Julian Williams card this past May. He also sports wins over Devis Boschiero and Jose Luis Rodriguez, among others, while Akhmedov boasts Olympic experience and a notable knockout of Ismael Barroso.

Lopez (36-8, 19 KO) vs. Molina Jr. (30-8, 24 KO) is pure violence. Lopez gave Keith Thurman everything he could handle last time out and Molina’s one of the gamest men in the sport. The latter was all set to fight Sergey Lipinets ahead of Thurman’s fight with Manny Pacquiao, but threw out his back just two days before fight night.
