The August 24th Mexico City DAZN card headlined by Juan Francisco Estrada vs. Dewayne Beamon has received a further dash of international flavor in the form of Liam Smith and Jono Carroll, who join the card on 10 days’ notice.

Smith (27-2-1, 15 KO) has won four of five since his destructive 2016 loss to Canelo, including a pair of gutsy wins over Liam Williams and a March knockout of Sam Eggington to rebound from his unsuccessful shot at Jaime Munguia. As you might imagine from the short notice, he doesn’t figure to be in terribly much danger against Mario Alberto Lozano (33-9, 24 KO). The Mexican veteran sports losses to Jermell Charlo, Vanes Martirosyan, and Charles Hatley alongside a majority decision defeat to Patrick Teixeira in April.

Carroll (16-1-1, 3 KO)), fighting for the first time since his loss to Tevin Farmer in March, has an even easier task ahead of him in Eleazar Valenzuela (20-11-4, 16 KO), who’s beaten one (1) opponent with a winning record in his last 14 fights.

The card also features top Croatian heavyweight Filip Hrgovic against Mario Heredia and Olympic silver medalist Shakhram Giyasov against Darleys Perez.
