Matchroom Boxing headed back to Monte Carlo on Nov. 30

No lineup has been announced for the show yet.

In what has become an annual tradition, Matchroom Boxing is headed back to Monte Carlo on Nov. 30, and promoter Eddie Hearn is promising a good card, which will stream live on DAZN in the US.

“I’m delighted to return to Monaco on Nov. 30 for another night of world championship boxing,” Hearn said. “The event has become an important date on the Monaco sports and entertainment calendar and fighters, media, broadcasters and fans all love the experience. We will announce the fight line up shortly with a real international flavor of talent looking to collect those world championship belts.”

The 2017 show at Casino de Monte Carlo featured a pair of world title bouts, as Jamie McDonnell and Liborio Solis went to a no contest in a bantamweight fight, and Dmitry Bivol knocked out Trent Broadhurst in the first round. The show also featured Scott Quigg, plus Agit Kabayel defending the European heavyweight title against Dereck Chisora.

In 2018, Kal Yafai successfully defended the WBA super flyweight title, beating Israel Gonzalez, and Denis Lebedev won a wide decision over Mike Wilson. We also saw Fanlong Meng beat Frank Buglioni, which led to Buglioni retiring, and Michael Hunter stopped Alexander Ustinov.

So expect a card somewhere along those lines — it won’t be some mega blockbuster, most likely, but a solid card with some familiar names and probably a world title fight.
