The undercard for Oleksandr Usyk’s October 12th heavyweight debut opposite Tyrone Spong is beginning to come together. Chicago’s own Jessica McCaskill is set to rematch Erica Farias, from whom she claimed the WBC super lightweight title last year, and super middleweight prospect Anthony Sims Jr. will make his Matchroom debut against TBA.

McCaskill (7-2, 3 KO) has been on fire since falling to Katie Taylor in her first bid at gold, outworking and overpowering Farias (26-3, 10 KO) to claim the WBC belt before unifying with a decision over WBA champ Anahi Esther Sanchez on the May 25th card that was supposed to host Usyk-Takam before Usyk got injured. Farias has not competed since the loss to McCaskill last October.
Sims (19-0, 17 KO) initially made a name for himself as a light heavyweight, racking up 17 consecutive knockouts after going the distance in his pro debut. He dropped to 168 for his bout with Vaughn Alexander on the Sor Rungvisa-Estrada II undercard this past April, taking home a 10-round unanimous decision.
Dmitry Bivol and Otha Jones III have also been named as participants on this card, though neither currently has an opponent.
