Tonight at 10 pm ET on Showtime from Sloan, Iowa, ShoBox: The New Generation is back for the 250th time, featuring super middleweights Vladimir Shishkin and Ulises Sierra in the main event.
Shishkin, 28, is a Russian looking to make some statements in the near future, a promising fighter who’s pretty polished considering a relative lack of pro experience. Sierra, 30, is a San Diego fighter who’s been in camp with lots of good fighters, and is getting a chance to prove himself in a notable fight here.
In the co-feature, Uzbekistan’s Shohjahon Ergashev, 28, takes on Mexico’s 29-year-old Adrian Estrella in a 140-pound matchup. Estrella was once being pushed as a prospect, but a 2015 loss to Eden Sonsona derailed him, and he’s 1-3 in his last four.
The opener will see 24-year-old Detroit bantamweight Ja’Rico O’Quinn take on twice-beaten 32-year-old Oscar Vasquez of Nevada.
