Scott Quigg-Jono Carroll rebooked for March 7th main event in Manchester

The pair were supposed to fight in December before Quigg’s arm injury flared up

Once set to take place on the Anthony Joshua-Andy Ruiz II card, the super featherweight clash between Scott Quigg and Jono Carroll will now headline a March 7th DAZN/Sky Sports card in Manchester.

Quigg (35-2, 26 KO) hasn’t fought since his October 2018 knockout of Mario Briones, which served as the 31-year-old’s 130-pound debut after missing weight against Oscar Valdez. He was supposed to continue his super featherweight run on Srisaket-Estrada II, only to tear a tendon in his left elbow. That same elbow injury then scrapped a December date with Carroll (17-1-1, 3 KO), who’d bounced back from a failed title shot of his own against Tevin Farmer with a decision over Eleazar Valenzuela in August.

This looks to be a well-matched clash of guys in need of a big win to reaffirm their contender status. Hope it gets a solid undercard; Hughie Fury’s apparently involved, but that’s all we know..
