“Inside PBC Boxing” revealed yesterday that rising Brooklyn heavyweight Adam Kownacki will headline a March 7th PBC on FOX show at Barclays Center, taking on TBA in his first appearance since August.
This will be the eighth time in nine fights that said arena has hosted Kownacki (20-0, 15 KO).
The 30-year-old “Baby Face,” that rare sort of man for whom the nickname is entirely appropriate, has spent the last few years working his way through recognizable but sub-elite heavyweights. His record includes knockouts of Artur Szpilka and Gerald Washington alongside a decision over Charles Martin, plus a successful war with Chris Arreola in his most recent effort that shattered the Compubox record for punches thrown and landed in a heavyweight bout.
As far as potential opponents, he’s got options. Kownacki is in the WBA, IBF, and WBO top fives, plus the WBC top 10. Anyone you’d like to see Brooklyn’s fluffiest son throw down tih?
