Danny Garcia (35-2, 21 KOs) returns to action this weekend as he takes on Ivan Redkach (23-4-1, 18 KOs) in Brooklyn, NY. Garcia, who just witnessed his fellow Philly fighter Julian Williams get upset last weekend, tells RingTV that he’s completely dialed-in for his fight and won’t be overlooking Redkach towards bigger fights on the horizon.

“I’m ready, I feel good,” said Garcia last Saturday back in the dressing room area of Temple University’s Liacouras Center before J-Rock’s ill-fated title defense. “I know this guy (Redkach) hits hard. I’m not looking past him, I can guarantee that. Hey, I’m just trying to take it one at a time. I don’t want to get too ahead of myself. I’ve been that way my whole career. I know that you can’t overlook anyone. I’m totally locked in on (Redkach).

Garcia would continue by saying that he strongly feels the strength & conditioning work he’s been putting in with a new coach has been paying dividends and that he’s been tailoring himself for Redkach specifically.

And knowing that one small oversight could end some potentially big money fights available to him this year, Garcia doesn’t plan on falling into a trap of overconfidence. Check out our full preview feature on the fight here.
