Garcia-Redkach: Highlights from Final Press Conference

Check out some quick hits of what all the fighters on the card had to say.

With Danny Garcia and Jarrett Hurd back in action tomorrow night on Showtime, all the fighters on the card showed up for the final press conference to deliver some of their final words before trading blows this weekend. Check out some quick hits on what the fighters had to say.

Arnold Khegai:

“You guys can wait for a good fight Saturday night. I came here for the belt and let’s see what happens Saturday night.”

Stephen Fulton:

“Everybody sees footage of me and thinks they just gonna dog me out and rough me up. I get into that too. It’s no secret, I’m here for a reason, and I just wanna thank all ya’ll for coming out and I have nothing else to say. See ya’ll Saturday night.”

Francisco Santana:

“It’s gonna be an honor to set foot in the ring with a former unified world champion and an elite fighter...the last press conference I was saying how nobody was giving me a shot to win, and this morning I was checking the betting spread and, man, I really don’t have a shot ‘cause it was 14:1. So it’s almost like I should stay at home and watch myself fight (laughs).

“All jokes aside, everybody knows I come to fight regardless whether I’m the underdog or not. I come to fight, I love to fight, it’s what I love to do and I’m astounded to be able to do it and perform again come Saturday night.”

Jarrett Hurd:

“I don’t know if you guys checked you guys’ forecast but this Saturday it’s definitely gonna be a storm coming this Saturday. And every time I fight I bring the storm and so make sure you guys tune in, I’m ready to fight, I know Francisco Santana is gonna bring his A-game, so let’s get it.”

Ivan Redkach:

“This Saturday night I’m gonna show you a good fight. Thank you Danny Garcia for making this fight, we’re gonna make a great show this Saturday night.”

Danny Garcia:

“It’s been a long 10-week camp, put in the hard work. We did everything we were supposed to do. We ran hills, we ate the rocks, we did everything...We ready to go, I’m glad I had a safe camp, no injuries, and you should be expecting to see the best Danny Garcia come Saturday night.”

After the fighters spoke they sat down for a little Q&A session with media members on hand. Check that out in the full video above.
