22-year-old welterweight prospect Alexis “Lex” Rocha will take a step up in competition on Feb. 14, as he’s set to face veteran Brad Solomon on the Ryan Garcia-Francisco Fonseca card, which will stream live on DAZN.

Rocha (15-0, 10 KO) has looked the part thus far in his pro career, turning pro in the spring of 2016 and taking steady, small steps to date. The 36-year-old Solomon (28-2, 9 KO) is coming off of a stoppage loss to blue chipper Vergil Ortiz Jr on Dec. 13, but he still has the sort of craft and experience that Rocha has not faced to date.

“Brad Solomon is a big step up and will present a challenge, but I am more than ready,” Rocha confidently stated. “I’m looking to make a statement on Feb. 14, and hope I get the recognition I deserve as one of the best fighters in the welterweight division.”

“I’m coming to make a statement in this fight,” said Solomon. “I just fought on a Golden Boy card in December, but I’m coming right back to show what I’m made of. So, make sure you tune into my fight on Feb. 14 because I will demonstrate that I have a lot of unfinished business in the boxing game.”

The card will also feature Jorge Linares vs Carlos Morales and Blair Cobbs vs Samuel Kotey, and top super middleweight prospect Bektemir Melikuziev will also be in action, facing veteran Marco Antonio Periban as part of the prelims.
