With lightweight Gervonta Davis ready to take on Leo Santa Cruz on Showtime this Halloween, the network airs it’s opening installment of All Access, showing off some behind the scenes action of both fighters as they prepare for the bout. You can catch the full opening episode above.
The first episode kicks off with a quick opening introduction by none other than Floyd Mayweather himself, who promotes Davis, and his private jet.
“This young man right here, a natural born superstar,” Mayweather says of Davis. “The ultimate goal is to get him to surpass me.”
Soon after we switch gears to Davis getting in some roadwork in the desert of Las Vegas, reflecting on his career.
“I think this is probably one of the most focused I’ve been since I’ve been pro,” Davis said. “Vegas is like a good boxing city, I believe. It’s actually good to be away from home and from the bad stuff. I know I have a big task in front of me, I’m not over that hump yet. I know Leo gonna come to fight so I know I gotta be prepared, keep working. I ain’t do nothing yet.”
After a glimpse inside of Davis’ training camp at the Mayweather Boxing Gym, we segue to Leo Santa Cruz who is training out of Los Angeles and takes us on a tour of his mansion.
“I got all of this without PPV. It’s taken me 24 years to get to this level, to get to a PPV. This is a dream come true” Santa Cruz says.
Santa Cruz then hits the gym with his close family in tow, who all work together to prepare Leo during his training sessions.
