Tomorrow night’s Las Vegas main event (ESPN+, Oct. 31, 7:30 pm ET) is good to go, as Naoya Inoue and Jason Moloney making weight today at Top Rank’s “Bubble” fore their WBA/IBF bantamweight title bout.
Inoue (19-0, 16 KO) will be defending both belts, and weighed in at 117¾, as did challenger Moloney (21-1, 18 KO).
But there was more drama on the scales for the co-feature, as Ewa Brodnicka (19-0, 2 KO) lost her WBO belt on the scales for her fight with former U.S. Olympian Mikaela Mayer.
How to Watch Inoue vs Moloney

Mayer (13-0, 5 KO) was fine, weighing in at 129¾, but the 36-year-old Brodnicka gives up the title by coming in at 130¼. Mayer noted on Instagram that if it had been her, she would have “chopped (her) hair on the scale,” and we actually saw that happen fairly recently in boxing, when Shawn Porter did just that, cutting a bit of his hair off ahead of his 2019 fight with Yordenis Ugas.
Brodnicka — who certainly has hair to cut in an attempt to make weight — did not go to that extreme. Maybe she lacks confidence in winning either way, and then what? No belt and fucked up hair?
Bad Left Hook will have full live coverage for Inoue-Moloney tomorrow night, with the prelims starting at 7:30 pm ET.
