Both Mike Coppinger and Dan Rafael report that Joseph Diaz Jr. vs. Shavkat Rakhimov and Patrick Teixeira vs. Brian Castano, respectively planned for February 20th and February 6th, will now share a DAZN card sometime that month. Coppinger claims it’ll be on the 13th, while Rafael says it will “probably” land on the 6th.

There remains a complicating factor: Teixeira’s (31-1, 22 KO) ongoing struggle to secure a visa, which Coppinger says he’ll need to resolve by January 6th. Should he prove unable to do so, that could potentially open the door for WBO #2 super welterweight Tim Tszyu to step in, as he spent just 114 seconds in the ring yesterday and could theoretically make a quick turnaround.

Either way, this figures to be an excellent night of fights. Rakhimov (15-0, 12 KO) and Castano (16-0-1, 12 KO) are both legitimately dangerous challengers who always bring the heat. Let’s just hope they can overcome the assorted pitfalls in their way.
