This afternoon at Noon ET streaming live on DAZN and also just up top in that YouTube video, Canelo Alvarez and Callum Smith will hit the scales for Saturday night’s DAZN main event, with Smith defending the WBA super middleweight title and the vacant WBC belt also on the line.
Canelo (53-1-2, 36 KO) has won a secondary belt at 168 already, but this is a champ for him to become a legit titlist at four weights, as he’s done so at 154, 160, and 175. He’s the favorite here, but Smith (27-0, 19 KO) is a good fighter and will have huge height and reach advantages, too.
How to Watch Canelo vs Smith
The undercard, being honest, isn’t much after Julio Cesar Martinez had to pull out of a planned WBC flyweight title defense. We’ll see heavyweight Frank Sanchez in action, as well as a bunch of Matchroom prospects like Austin Williams, Raymond Ford, and the debuting Marc Castro.
We’ll be here with live updates on the weights as they come in, so join us!
