Joshua vs Pulev fight to have 1,000 fans at SSE Arena

Anthony Joshua’s Dec. 12 fight against Kubrat Pulev at The SSE Arena, Wembley, in London will be allowed a limited live audience, as Matchroom Boxing have been given the green light to sell 1,000 tickets to the venue.

Matchroom have put out the guidelines and safety measures for buying tickets to the show:

• The lead booker can only attend with members of their own household (ID including address will be required on entry).
• Matchroom Boxing are participating in the NHS Test and Trace scheme. Lead booker details will be collected and shared for this in line with legal guidelines, and NHS Track & Trace check-in codes will be in place for fans to scan at entrances.
• You must not attend an event if you have tested positive for Covid-19, are required to self-isolate or have suffered from Covid-19 symptoms within 14 days of the event.
• You must wear a face covering at all times during your visit to The SSE Arena, Wembley (if you’re medically able to do so and aged 11+). They can be safely removed when you’re seated to eat or drink.
• Tickets must not be resold.
• No refund policy

Joshua (23-1, 21 KO) will be defending the WBA, IBF, and WBO heavyweight titles against IBF mandatory challenger Pulev (28-1, 14 KO). The event will air on Sky Box Office in the UK, and stream live on DAZN elsewhere.

We have seen limited crowds in Australia for the Jeff Horn-Tim Tszyu event in August, and the Gervonta Davis-Leo Santa Cruz PPV at San Antonio’s Alamodome on Oct. 31, which will also host a limited amount of fans for the Canelo Alvarez-Callum Smith fight on Dec. 19. Most shows are still being held without fans, but there has been some movement in the other direction, and the hope is, of course, that we’ll be able to return to full audiences by the end of 2021.

There is some bad news for fans, though, as 1,000 people will have to watch Hughie Fury vs Mariusz Wach.
