Former pound-for-pound king Vasiliy Lomachenko recently sat down for an interview with Snow Queen LA, giving his thoughts on his fellow elite lightweights.
Lomachenko (14-2, 10 KO) shot back at Ryan Garcia’s claim of having “warred” with him in sparring, saying Garcia was “terrified to show his face” and threatening to release footage of their session. He also picked former foe Luke Campbell to defeat Garcia this upcoming Saturday, provided Campbell is still at his best after his bout with COVID.

Despite Bob Arum and others insisting he’d be better-served moving back down to 130 pounds, “Hi-Tech” wants a crack at WBA “world” champion Gervonta Davis, saying that he “like[s] fighting southpaws.” He does, however, admit it’s unlikely that he’ll face “Tank” in his next bout.
As far as his recent loss to Teofimo Lopez, the 32-year-old chalked up his late start to further tweaking his injured shoulder while trying to throw a combination in the second round. When pressed for a round-by-round score as he continued to insist he’d won the fight, Lomachenko gave himself the second round and rounds seven through 11, with the sixth potentially going either way for 6-6 draw or a 7-5 Lomachenko victory.
Unfortunately, no news yet regarding his eventual return to action.
