As PBC did earlier today, Top Rank has officially postponed its entire schedule for March and April, vowing to reschedule the shows “as soon as it’s safe and reasonable to do so.”

Unfortunately for viewers, the casualty list is a bit more demoralizing than Haymon’s offerings. The March 28th show headlined by Artur Beterbiev vs. Meng Fanlong was already homeless, so that’s no surprise, and its Jerwin Ancajas-Jonathan Rodriguez (April 11th) and Andrew Moloney-Israel Gonzalez (April 17th) cards weren’t even announced yet, but arguably the spring’s best fight between Naoya Inoue and John Riel Casimero is now kaput.
Pretty much all that’s left on the board until May are Avanesyan-Kelly, Dubois-Joyce, and Kovalev-Barrera. The first two share an arena, so if one goes so does the other, and California’s quarantine measures make the last one questionable at best. I’m not saying you’ll need to organize underground fight clubs with your neighbors to get your violence fix, I’m just saying that now’s the time to get that sort of thing organized.
