British boxing personalities come together for group rendition of ‘Sweet Caroline’

Even the Neil Diamond standard is missed at this point.

The Neil Diamond song “Sweet Caroline” has been a standard feature on Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom UK fight shows for quite some time, and as Hearn has expanded his operations into the US, he’s brought the tune with him on these shores, too.

We obviously haven’t heard it at the fights for a while now. And we probably won’t for a while longer.

In the meantime, Johnny Nelson gathered some of the British boxing community for a singalong. It’s better than that Gal Gadot thing, at least.

Anyone who has ever been a regular at karaoke nights no longer can stand to hear somewhere between 10 or 20 songs in the world, no matter how great the song actually is, and this is often on those lists.

But I can’t deny that right now, I’d love to hear a bunch of drunks and dorks belting out the Big Neil classic right before a main event in a packed arena.

Someday.
