We were supposed to be seeing Canelo Alvarez fight on Saturday night, as May 2 was the closest Saturday to Cinco de Mayo, a traditional big fight weekend. We’re not, obviously, but FS1 will have a night of boxing entertainment.
Rocky III (the one with Mr. T, if you forget which is which) will air at 9 pm ET, and will be followed by two fight replays.
The first will be Manny Pacquiao vs Adrien Broner from Jan. 19, 2019, which sent Pacquiao springboarding into another title fight against Keith Thurman in the summer. Pacquiao-Broner originally aired on Showtime pay-per-view. That fight will start at 11 pm ET.
Following at Midnight ET will be a replay of the rematch between Carl Frampton and Leo Santa Cruz from Jan. 2017. That fight’s also going to re-air on Showtime on May 29, so we’re already getting into reruns of reruns, just awful. (I’m kidding. It doesn’t matter. Please don’t take this seriously.)
