Kenny Porter hoping to see son Shawn fight Manny Pacquiao or Terence Crawford soon

Porter says they’d love a fight against Manny Pacquiao or Terence Crawford.

During this video interview with trainer Kenny Porter, he shares what fighters he and his son Shawn are targeting once boxing opens back up again.

Kenny Porter on what fight he wants next for Shawn if he could pick anyone:

“I would want the biggest fight that’s out there, but there’s some different things going on that’s not gonna allow that to happen. One of them is the fighters we’re dealing with, another is certain fighters coming off of injuries and things like that. But the rest of the guys that are out there, if you could give me what I wanted to fight, the fight that would make a great show that night — Manny Pacquiao.

“But let’s not stop at Manny. Obviously since we talking about boxers, Terence Crawford, that would be an amazing fight. I love challenges, Shawn loves challenges...he’s a competitive dude. You give him a mountain to climb, you know, he’s gonna do it.

“Manny Pacquiao, Terence Crawford, you know, 1 and 1a. Take your pick. Amazing fighters. Terence Crawford is one of my favorite, if not the favorite fighter out there for me today. Amazing fighter. Shawn Porter is obviously my favorite fighter but Bud — dude is everything. He’s all that, he can do it both sides, both ways...Let’s put him in there with a Shawn Porter and see if we can disrupt that, see if we can change some of what he’s used to doing and make him uncomfortable. It makes sense, it makes for a great fight.

“Of course we need, gotta have the Errol Spence pt. 2, we gotta have that. And then there’s still the Keith Thurman’s of the world. Of course Danny Garcia is right there with everybody, doing what he does. So all of these guys, when the gate opens back up, you know, we plan on being there and being ready to come right through there whenever they say we can do it.”
