Ryan Garcia continues to taunt Gervonta Davis on social media

Golden Boy’s prized lightweight Ryan Garcia (20-0, 17 KO) has been making good use of this quarantine period, often taking to social media to troll his foes and Gervonta Davis is no exception. Both Garcia and Davis have been talking junk to one another for quite some time now, but it seems as though Garcia is more adamant about getting under the skin of Davis until they finally meet.

In this latest posting aimed at Davis, Garcia pokes more fun at the WBA titleholder from Baltimore by saying that Davis has been blowing up in weight during this lockdown while he has been keeping himself ready.

Davis (23-0, 22 KOs), for his part, would take a moment to respond to Garcia by saying that everything’s a joke until you have to deal with the person at the butt end of it.

Davis would continue by referring to himself as the ‘Michael Jordan of boxing’ which, you know, is pretty fuckin’ high praise considering I don’t recall MJ ever playing the Washington Wizards for a world title, but clearly Davis isn’t lacking for confidence.

Ultimately, though, this is one of those beefs that really needs to be settled by the fight just being made. It’s clear these two young stars want to battle it out, so now it’s just up for their respective teams to make the deal. Let’s settle it!
