As the company plans to stage shows at their own gym, they’ve now opened the doors to some of their new fighters.

As we appear to be nearing the point where boxing will resume its schedule (albeit under modified circumstances) Top Rank has begun to allow some boxers back inside their ‘freshly sanitized’ Las Vegas gym, starting with Australian fighters Jason and Andrew Moloney. Those two have been confirmed to be the first to make an appearance on a Top Rank card which will be held at the facility over the summer as the company says it’s maintaining appropriate safety protocols.

Within 24 hours of the word that they would be allowed to travel, both Moloney twins were on a flight Stateside looking forward to their U.S. debut. A specific date and opponent for the brothers is thought to come in the very near future as promoter Bob Arum will look to get the live action rolling again.

Arum has recently claimed that while he plans to start with some lower-level fights, we’ll soon be seeing the same quality of content that we were accustomed to before the coronavirus pandemic hit. We’ll have to see exactly how that works out though, as many industry insiders have claimed it will be tremendously difficult to stage big fights if fans (and the live gate revenue they represent), aren’t allowed to attend.
