Thursday night’s ESPN card featuring the return of former 122-pound titleholder Jessie Magdaleno is set to go, though one fight was lost at today’s weigh-in, and Magdaleno had some trouble making his catchweight limit.
Magdaleno (27-1, 18 KO) is facing Yenifel Vicente (36-4-2, 28 KO) in the 10-round main event, which is technically a junior lightweight bout, with a 128-pound catchweight limit.
The 28-year-old Magdaleno originally weighed in at 128.2 pounds, but was able to strip down and come in at 127.9. Vicente, 33, weighed in at 126.5.
The featherweight co-feature between Adam Lopez (13-2, 6 KO) and Luis Coria (12-2, 7 KO) is also good to go. Lopez weighed in at 125.8, with Coria at 124.7, both comfortably below the 126-pound limit.
The fight lost was going to be a matchup between Bryan Lua and Dan Murray, which is off due to Murray missing weight.
There will be two bouts between the co-feature (which is opening the show at 8 pm ET) and the main event.
Eric Mondragon (3-0, 2 KO) and Mike Sanchez (6-0, 2 KO) will meet in a six-round lightweight bout. Mondragon weighed in at 133, with Sanchez at 132.3. The other is a bantamweight bout between Gabriel Muratalla (2-0, 2 KO) and Fernando Robles (2-2, 0 KO). Muratalla weighed in at 118.3, with Robles at 118 on the money.
Bad Left Hook will have full live coverage tomorrow night beginning at 8 pm ET, with the show airing in full on ESPN.
