In addition to confirming next week’s lineup, led by the Moloney twins and featuring fights like Christopher Diaz-Jason Sanchez, Abraham Nova-Avery Sparrow, and Joseph Adorno-Alexis del Roque, Top Rank revealed super featherweight champion Miguel Berchelt’s opponent for his June 27th headliner in Mexico. “El Alacran” will be facing journeyman Eleazar Valenzuela, while prospect Omar Aguilar faces Dante Jardon in the co-feature.

Emanuel Navarrete’s headliner against Uriel Lopez this Saturday has received its share of well-deserved grief and this is just as bad. Valenzuela (21-13-4, 16 KO) is exceptionally busy, fighting seven times last year and amassing nearly 40 fights by the age of 25, but loses with clockwork regularity to noteworthy opposition. His best result is a No Contest against Jose Zepeda last year.

It’s not like this was meant to be a challenge for Berchelt (37-1, 33 KO), though; it’s transparently a stay-busy fight ahead of a planned clash with Oscar Valdez, who’s currently teed up to fight Jayson Velez on July 21st.

The 21-year-old Aguilar (17-0, 16 KO) is taking a minor step up against Jardon (32-6, 23 KO), who’s got a couple of solid wins on his record.
