The former junior welterweight champion could be back this summer on DAZN.

According to Mike Coppinger’s sources, Regis Prograis is currently being floated for 140-pound fight against Pablo Cesar Cano. The idea would be to stage the fight in August and on DAZN. This news obviously comes on the heels of Prograis’ previously planned fight against Maurice Hooker falling through.

Prograis has recently been in a social media beef with Adrien Broner, but has openly admitted that he didn’t think the fight would come to fruition. I still think it’s a good fight to make in general, but if Broner is intent on demanding $10 million to fight again, well, let’s just say he probably has a better chance of going double platinum.

Cano (33-7-1, 23 KOs) made his most recent appearance this past November, stopping Roberto Ortiz which was his second straight TKO after blitzing Jorge Linares in early 2019. Cano clearly has some momentum going for him, and Prograis needs an opponent anyway he can get it. We’ll keep you posted.
