Shakur Stevenson’s return to the ring went pretty much as anticipated against the dreadfully overmatched Felix Caraballo, with Stevenson (14-0, 8 KO) dominating every moment of the fight until a sixth round knockout.
But that doesn’t necessarily mean you can’t admire a body shot or three, right?
Stevenson, 22, dropped the 33-year-old Caraballo (13-2-2, 9 KO) on a body shot in the first round, and then again on two nasty shots downstairs in the sixth, ending the fight.
Here’s the first round knockdown:

The downside for Stevenson is that he suffered some type of injury to his left hand. He threw it to end the fight, but he had been shaking it out in the fifth round, and it was clearly bothering him. as he admitted after the fight that he did hurt it.
We don’t know the extent of the injury right now, but if it’s not too bad we’ll probably see him again before the summer is out.
