Leo vs Williams, Eggington vs Cheeseman, more: Boxing fight times and TV schedule for July 31-August 1

Multiple platforms! Title fights! The Omelet Fight!

SHOWTIME

Friday, July 31

ESPN+, 3:00 pm ET, Lyndon Arthur vs Dec Spelman. Arthur will be defending the Commonwealth light heavyweight title here. Not a huge marquee fight but a nice UK fight on a Friday afternoon for us Americans, we’ll be here with coverage. BLH will have live coverage.

Saturday, August 1

YouTube, 3:45 am ET, Srisaket Sor Rungvisai vs Amnat Ruenroeng. DAZN usually have the Workpoint shows from Thailand but this one is streaming live — and free! — on the Matchroom YouTube channel. Srisaket hasn’t fought since his Apr. 2019 loss to Juan Francisco Estrada, and the aging Ruenroeng is a good bit past his better days, but hey, it’s a fight. BLH will have live coverage.

DAZN, 2:00 pm ET, Sam Eggington vs Ted Cheeseman, James Tennyson vs Gavin Gwynne, Jordan Gill vs Reece Bellotti. Matchroom’s first “Fight Camp” card from the garden of their headquarters is almost here! The Omelet Fight in the main event could be a lot of fun, as both guys can be good action fighters. Cheeseman boxed a bit more last time out but this still has good entertainment potential. Tennyson-Gwynne and Gill-Bellotti are good domestic matchups, and we’ll also see Fabio Wardley and Dalton Smith in action, too. BLH will have live coverage.

SHO, 9:00 pm ET, Angelo Leo vs Tramaine Williams, Ra’eese Aleem vs Marcus Bates 2, Joe George vs Marcos Escudero 2. A readjusted card, as Leo was originally supposed to face Stephen Fulton Jr, but Williams — meant to fight Aleem — is bumped to the main, for the vacant WBO 122-pound title, and Aleem-Bates is an eliminator, a short notice rematch of a 2018 fight that Aleem won handily on the cards. George-Escudero is a rematch of a controversial and very competitive ShoBox fight from last year BLH will have live coverage.
