Premier Boxing Champions have officially announced the long-rumored new date for Jamal James vs Thomas Dulorme, plus the rest of the card to air on FOX and FS1 on Saturday, Aug. 8.
James (26-1, 12 KO) and Dulorme (25-3-1, 16 KO) will meet in the 12-round welterweight main event for an interim WBA title, which is a preposterous belt that doesn’t need to exist, but whatever, it’s boxing, it’s the WBA, life goes on. It’s a solid matchup between two guys really trying to break into contention in a stacked weight class where almost all the big names are with PBC.
FOX will also air David Morrell Jr (2-0, 2 KO) vs Lennox Allen (22-0-1, 14 KO) in a 12-round fight for the interim WBA super middleweight title — arguably even dumber than the welterweight one — and Omar Juarez (7-0, 4 KO) vs Willie Shaw (12-1, 8 KO) in a six- or eight-round fight at junior welterweight.
The FOX broadcast will start at 8 pm ET, and once it’s over, coverage will shift to FS1 for more fights, tentatively set to start at 10 pm ET. We’ll have three more fights there, headlined by Mykal Fox (22-1, 5 KO) vs Lucas Santamaria (10-1-1, 7 KO) in a 10-round welterweight fight, plus Vito Mielnicki Jr (5-0, 3 KO) vs Chris Rollins (3-1, 2 KO) at junior middleweight, set for six rounds, and Luis Pena (6-0, 6 KO) vs Michael Coffie (9-0, 6 KO) in an eight-round heavyweight bout.
