Saturday night’s Showtime boxing return is good to go after some mid-week adjustments.

Saturday night’s Showtime card had some major mid-week adjustments, as intended main eventer Stephen Fulton Jr tested positive for COVID-19 and was pulled from the event, but the tripleheader is now fully set and ready to go for tomorrow night, as all six fighters made weight today in Connecticut.

In the new main event, the vacant WBO junior featherweight title remains on the line, as Angelo Leo (19-0, 9 KO) takes on Tramaine Williams (19-0, 6 KO), who was bumped from the co-feature slot into the main event, replacing Fulton.

Leo weighed in at 121, a pound under the limit, while Williams came in at 122½.

The co-feature will be a rematch between Ra’eese Aleem (16-0, 10 KO) and Marcus Bates (11-1-1, 8 KO), who has stepped in on short notice. They met in 2018, with Aleem winning a wide decision over eight rounds. This is a WBA eliminator, also at 122 pounds, and both fighters came in at 121¼.

The opener is another rematch, from a ShoBox bout last November. That night, Joe George (10-0, 6 KO) beat Marcos Escudero (10-1, 9 KO) via debated split decision, so they’ll do it again. George weighed in at 174¼ for the light heavyweight contest, with Escudero at 173½.
