With unbeaten German Eric Pfeifer out of commission, Mike Coppinger reports that Daniel Dubois will instead face the Netherlands’ Ricardo Snijders on August 29th. The match is meant to keep Dubois busy ahead of a planned October 24th bout with Joe Joyce.

Joyce ran over Michael Wallisch last month in his own tune-up.

Snijders (18-1, 8 KO), who appears to be a natural cruiserweight, fought outside his home country for the first time in May of last year, traveling to Belgium to face and fall to Joel Tambwe Djeko. He weighed in at just over 213 pounds for his subsequent September knockout of Istvan Kun, who was in the midst of what’s now an 0-6-1 run with four knockout losses.

In short, a completely garbage matchup. At least Pfeifer was a heavyweight.

The Queensberry card will also feature Sunny Edwards against top-notch spoiler Thomas Essomba and Sam Maxwell vs. Joe Hughes for a WBC trinket.
