Friday, Aug. 7

DAZN, 2:00 pm ET, Terri Harper vs Natasha Jonas, Chris Billam-Smith vs Nathan Thorley, Anthony Fowler vs Adam Harper. Terri Harper makes the first defense of her WBC 130-pound title in the main event against Jonas, an ex-Olympian and once a top amateur whose pro career just hasn’t quite gone like hoped. Jonas still has some skills and is a veteran, but Harper is a legitimate rising star on the women’s side who doesn’t have the big amateur background but just seems a boxing natural, someone who has taken to it very well at a young age. Billam-Smith is defending the Commonwealth cruiserweight title against Thorley, and Fowler is looking to tune up. We’ll also see prospects Aqib Fiaz and Ivan “Hopey” Price. BLH will have live coverage.

FOX, 8:00 pm ET, Jamal James vs Thomas Dulorme, David Morrell Jr vs Lennox Allen, Omar Juarez vs Willie Shaw. Boxing returns to FOX with not the highest-profile fights in the world, but boxing just being back on FOX means way more eyeballs. James-Dulorme is for a dumb interim WBA belt at 147, both guys looking to break through for something bigger. Morrell is a 22-year-old Cuban that PBC like a lot, and he’s fighting for a dumb interim WBA belt at 168 in his third pro bout. Juarez is a very good 21-year-old prospect at 140. BLH will have live coverage.

FS1, 10:00 pm ET, Mykal Fox vs Lucas Santamaria, Vito Mielnicki Jr vs Chris Rollins, Luis Pena vs Michael Coffie. For the TRUE HARD CORES!!! we’ve got more PBC action after the FOX broadcast, as coverage moves to FS1 for the return of “postlims.” Mykal Fox, nearly 6’4”, is a nightmare physical and stylistic matchup for a lot of guys at 140, having lost a controversial decision to Shohjahon Ergashev and then beating ex-Olympic gold medalist Fazliddin Gaibnazarov in 2019, following the W over Gaibnazarov with two more wins. Mielnicki is an 18-year-old welterweight PBC like, and Pena-Coffie is a heavyweight matchup of unbeatens. BLH will have live coverage.
