As WBC super featherweight titleholder Terri Harper gets ready Friday night’s title defense against challenger Natasha Jonas, Harper tells Sky Sports that she’s not letting any of Jonas’ talk of knocking her out get to her.
“I’m very calm. It’s nothing but confidence. I feel big and strong. I’m ready to go.
“The talking is done. It’s all about tomorrow. I’m not getting stopped - those belts are coming home.”
Jonas, for her part, said all the pressure is on Harper to show up and show out in this fight, and that she’s at ease. That said, Jonas also believes she’ll packing enough power to do damage to the reigning champion.
Harper, 23, most recently outpointed Eva Wahlstrom in February to notch her 10th professional win, while Jonas is coming off consecutive stoppage wins — albeit against much easier opposition. With both fighters making weight today, they’re good to go for tomorrow night’s title fight.
