Leo vs Fulton: Live streaming results, round by round, how to watch, start time, full coverage

Round By Round

Angelo Leo vs Stephen Fulton

Round 1: Both fighters come out throwing right away. Fulton throws a jab and Leo immediately gets in close and smothers Fulton. Leo presses forward and pops a jab that doesn’t land clean, but then lands a jab to the body. Fulton jabs upstairs but Leo blocks it pretty well. Left hook lands to the body for Fulton. Now Fulton lands a jab to the body and then a looping hook to the head. Right hand lead lands well for Leo. Double jab lands for Leo this time. Another jab comes from Leo but he doesn’t land this one. Fulton gets on his jab and lands a couple of his own. Both fighters have taken turns landing. Hard left hook lands to the body for Fulton. Jab lands for Fulton and Leo is bleeding over his left eye. Close round but I’ll give this one to Fulton for drawing first blood. Fulton 10-9.

Round 2: Replay seems to indicate Leo’s cut was from an accidental head clash. Leo tries to work the body right away to start the second round. Both fighters trade at center ring. Right hook lands for Leo. Left hook lands on the inside for Fulton. Fulton jabs and lands, then pokes one to the body. Both fighters trade with Fulton along the ropes, bothing scoring. Clean counter lands for Fulton in an exchange. Left ands for Fulton as he walks Leo back. Both fighters trade body shots this time. Counter hook lands for Leo after Fulton flurries. Fulton stands right in front of Leo and is willing to go toe to toe with him so far. Another really close round, I’ll edge it to Fulton again for the cleanest shots I remember of the round. Fulton 10-9, 20-18.

Round 3: Three quick punches come from Fulton as Leo covers up. Fulton jabs and then steps to the side. Jab comes from Fulton who is moving a little more in this third round, boxing a bit more on the outside. Double jab comes from Fulton. Leo throws a couple of punches to the body. Right hand from Fulton lands who then smothers a counter opportunity from Leo. Double jab comes from Fulton and Leo charges through it but ends up in a clinch. Both fighters try to punch out of the clinch and Fulton gets back on his jab. Leo lands a shot o the body. Right hand lead makes partial contact for Leo. These are good competitive rounds but I think Fulton has the slight edge. Fulton 10-9.

Round 4: Fulton starts with a combination and Leo tries to get back in close range but Fulton has don’t a pretty decent job with his body positioning so that Leo isn’t landing like he wants to up close. Fulton jabs several times and now Leo lands a right hand over the top and Fulton ties him up immediately to break any momentum. Hard left hook lands to the body for Leo! Leo gets in a couple more body punches in close. Now a right hand lands for Leo as Fulton might’ve had something taken out of him from that previous body shot. Leo throws a couple with Fulton on the ropes. Clean uppercut lands for Fulton off the ropes. Now Leo lands another shot as Fulton smirks. Leo 10-9, 37-39.

Round 5: Both fighters throw and end up in a quick clinch. Both fighters trade shots on the inside but Leo gets the better of this exchange. Both fighters trade, Fulton lands a jab and Leo lands a right hand. Clean combination lands for Leo and Fulton returns fire. Both fighters are throwing and landing making this a great action fight. Right hand lands for Fulton as he buries his head in Leo’s chest and pushes him back. Uppercut lands on the inside for Fulton. Right hook gets in for Fulton at close range. Now Leo tries a short shot. Fulton is leaning on Leo against the ropes and tries to work him with punches. I think Fulton takes this round. Fulton 10-9.

Round 6: Leo is breathing pretty heavy in his corner. Left hook lands up close for Fulton. Left hook lands to the head and body for Fulton at close range. Leo lands a left hand to the body. Both fighters take turns throwing body shots at close range. Phone booth fight this is. Short right hook lands for Fulton on the inside. Leo throws and touches the body. Fulton throws off the ropes and Leo responds. Upperuct lands clean for Fulton as Leo was caught sleeping during a break. This is a good fight but Fulton is landing the cleaner shots and is really working a furious pace. Fulton 10-9, 59-55.

Round 7: Three punches come from Fulton to start the round. Both fighters standing right in front of each other again and Fulton rattles off a quick flurry of punches. Leo throws a short hook on the inside. Fulton touches both sides of the body on the inside. Leo misses on a big right hook to the body. Uppercut lands for Fulton. Right hand gets in for Leo. Right hook gets in for Leo, then two body punches. Uppercut lands for Leo this time. Fulton ducks a shot from Leo. Leo 10-9.

Round 8: Jabs come from Fulton to start the round. Right hand lands at the end of three punches for Fulton. Now a check hook lands for Fulton. Leo tries to walk in on Fulton and Fulton ties him up. Fulton tries to work some uppercuts on the inside. Fulton lands two hooks as he has Leo on the ropes now. Short uppercut lands again for Fulton. Leo is looking gassed but he’s still digging deep. Both fighters trade but Fulton gets in the better right hand. Fulton 10-9, 78-74.

Round 9: Leo misses on a right hook to start the round. Fulton double jabs and lands the second clean. Overhand right lands for Fulton. Left lands to the body for Leo. Now Leo throws a left hook to the body. Fulton jabs and scores. Jab lands again for Fulton who then ties up Leo. More jabs lands clean for Fulton as he touches up Leo’s face. Right hand on the inside makes glancing contact for Fulton. Jab lands again for Fulton. Fulton 10-9.

Round 10: Both fighters get back in close range and Fulton has Leo along the ropes. Double left hand comes from Leo to the body. Left hand scores on the inside for Fulton. Jab lands for Fulton and Leo comes back with an ineffective counter attack. Right hand lands to the body for Fulton. Both fighters trade body shots at close range. Fulton lands two body shots as he walks Leo back. Short uppercut lands for Fulton after he gets turned in the corner. Fulton 10-9, 98-92.

Round 11: Leo’s corner tells him he needs to knock Fulton out to win, which is honest advice. Three jabs come from Fulton to start the round. Two shots lands for Fulton. Counter right from Leo partially lands. Right hand lands to the body for Fulton. Fulton tries two short right hooks as he stands in the pocket with Leo. Right hand lands for Leo. Fulton throws a number of punches as he tries to separate himself from Leo. Fulton scores on the inside with a right hand before getting back to his jab. Fulton 10-9.

Round 12: Leo’s trainer still telling him he needs a knockout to win. Jab from Fulton falls short. Counter right lands for Fulton this time. Fulton still looks pretty damn fresh for the pace he fought at for most of this fight. Leo tries a right hand and misses. Sweeping right hand from Fulton makes partial contact. Leo lands a jab but Fulton is touching him almost at will. Left hook lands to the body for Leo. Left hand lands to the body for Fulton. Now Fulton gets back on his jab. Fulton 10-9. I’ve got it a clear win for Fulton, 118-110.

Ra’eese Aleem vs Victor Pasillas

Round 1: Pasillas comes out with an aggressive posture and looks downstairs with a jab. Aleem lands a body shot but misses on a counter upstairs. Check hook lands for Pasillas. Counter lands for Pasillas again. Straight left lands to the body for Pasillas. Left hook from Aleem makes contact upstairs. Stiff jab lands for Aleem, then another. Right lands to the body for Aleem, Pasillas gets one back but Aleem gets one more in for good measure. Left hook lands upstairs for Aleem. Aleem charges forward with a long ineffective flurry. Close round that I’ll edge to Aleem. Aleem 10-9.

Round 2: Pasillas comes out with the full court press and Aleem tries to meet him with a long jab before stepping in to smother a counter. Right hand lands upstairs for Aleem. Pasillas gets in a left to the body. Check hook from Aleem misses and he takes a stumble. Right hand lands clean to the body for Aleem. Jab lands for Pasillas to the head. Aleem jabs down to the body and lands. SWEEPING HOOK FROM ALEEM PUTS PASILLAS ON HIS ASS! Pasillas gets up but which is amazing because he went down like a tree. Straight shot from Aleem nearly puts Pasillas down again and Pasillas isn’t steady and is looking to retreat. Aleem is emboldened now and comes forward with a clean left hook to the head, then another. Pasillas survives the round. Aleem 10-8, 20-17.

Round 3: Aleem comes out looking to pick up where he left off but Pasillas recovered a bit during the break. Uppercut lands for Pasillas, then another left. Right hand scores downstairs for Aleem. Right hook lands to the body again for Aleem. Pasillas falls short on a jab and Aleem charges back with a counter attack. Aleem throws a combination and the referee tells Aleem to keep his punches up. Another right hand gets in downstairs for Aleem. Left hook lands to the head for Aleem at the bell. Aleem 10-9.

Round 4: Left hand makes partial contact for Pasillas. Aleem tries to work his jab and then looks to the body before coming back to the head with a left hook. Pasillas throws a left to the body but falls short. Counter left lands for Aleem. Pasillas tries a left but is having a hard time getting his timing together. Three punches come from Aleem and back Pasillas up. Aleem clips Pasillas with a looping left hand. Aleem goes down to the body with a lead hook. Double left hook land for Aleem this time. Hard right lands to the guy of Pasillas. Aleem 10-9, 40-35.

Round 5: Left to the body falls short for Pasillas. Check left hook lands upstairs for Aleem. Right to the body lands for Aleem. Right hand lands to the body well for Aleem. Pasillas is really getting outworked to the body which won’t do him any favors the longer this fight goes. Left makes partial contact for Pasillas but Aleem gets back to center ring and has a good rhythm where he can score and defend comfortably. Check hook lands again for Aleem, then a straight right hand. Counter hook gets in for Pasillas this time. Another check hook from Aleem makes contact. Aleem 10-9.

Round 6: Pasillas falls short on a couple of jabs as he tries to stalk forward. Aleem counters and makes good contact. Counter left hand lands for Aleem, then another that puts Pasillas down. Pasillas gets up and wants to continue. Right hand lands to the body and head for Aleem. Aleem stalks forward now and strafes Pasillas with a few shots. Right hand lands to the body lands for Aleem and Pasillas is hurt by it. Pasillas trying to hold on to make it to the bell. Aleem 10-8, 60-52.

Round 7: Aleem comes out stalking and Pasillas falls short on a body shot. Aleem throws a combination with Pasillas on the ropes. Right to the body makes contact for Aleem as he charges forward with several punches. Right to the body hurts Pasillas who is laying on the ropes. Now Pasillas is back to center ring but he’s had the fight beaten out of him. Aleem backs Pasillas up again and doubles up on a left hook. Pasillas getting dominated tonight. Aleem 10-9.

Round 8: Doctor doesn’t want Pasillas to take much more punishment. Left to the head and then one to the body makes contact for Aleem. Pasillas tries a body shot but doesn’t have any steam on his punches at this point. Right hand lands for Aleem. Combination comes from Aleem again and Pasillas ties him up. Both fighters trade at center ring. Left hook lands clean for Aleem, then another moments later. Aleem continues to score pretty easily. Left lands for Pasillas. Aleem 10-9, 80-70.

Round 9: Left hand lands for Pasillas and Aleem clips him with a counter and staggers Pasillas to the canvas, ruled a knockdown. Left hook lands for Aleem to the head. Right hook lead misses for Aleem but the follow up left hook scores. Right hand lead lands for Aleem. Aleem tries a right hook but can’t land this one. Right hook lands to the body for Aleem. Aleem 10-8.

Round 10: Pasillas comes out stalking and Aleem lays back until his unleashes a short combination of punches. Right hand lead lands for Aleem. Right hand lands to the body for Aleem. Pasillas lands a straight left to the body. Left and right hand score for Aleem to the head. Right hand from Aleem strays a little below the belt. Aleem comes forward now and lands a body shot. Left hand lands upstairs for Aleem moments before the bell. Aleem 10-9, 100-87.

Round 11: Aleem starts with a counter hook. Three punches come from Aleem as Pasillas covers up. Uppercut lands as an awkward lead for Aleem. Pasillas comes forward into a punch and gets put out on his feet and then hits the deck! Referee has seen enough and waves it off. Aleem TKO-11.

Rolando Romero vs Avery Sparrow

Round 1: Romero comes out with a few feints and then starts working his jab as he comes forward. Romero looks noticeably larger in the ring. Romero comes forward and lands a hard hook that puts Sparrow down! Sparrow gets up and finds his mouthpiece. Sparrow digs down to the body but Romero comes forward and lets go of some power shots. Right hook to the body lands for Romero. Sparrow is completely outgunned in this fight and it’s evident early. Sparrow tries to tackle Romero into the ropes to get some reprieve. Romero tries to time a counter left hook but can’t land it clean. Romero is landing with some thudding power. Lunging punch lands for Romero. Romero 10-8.

Round 2: Romero jabs and Sparrow tries to interrupt him but can’t keep Romero from coming forward. Sparrow uses a little more lateral movement now and flicks out a jab from range that misses upstairs. Romero starts moving back now and lets Sparrow come to him before trying a jab to the body. Two hooks land for Romero and the fighters get tangled and Romero takes him down to the canvas. Right and left hook from Romero make partial contact. Sparrow eats a clean left hook to the body and then throws two hapless counters that miss. Sparrow misses on a homerun swing. Jab from Romero makes contact. Left hook from Romero lands and knocks Sparrow back into the ropes. Romero 10-9, 20-17.

Round 3: Romero comes out with a jab and Sparrow tries to return fire. Counter hook from Sparrow misses but he’s able to get away from the ropes. Triple jab comes from Sparrow down to the body — you don’t see that everyday. Now Romero unloads a combination as Sparrow covers up at center ring. Three punches come from Romero but land on Sparrow’s guard. Romero throws a few power shots and gets caught by one in return from Sparrow. Sparrow whiffs on a big lunging hook. Uppercut from Romero makes partial contact. Counter right from Sparrow lands clean right at the end of the round. Romero 10-9.

Round 4: Romero starts with a jab. Romero stalks forward and falls a little short on a right hand to the body. Sparrow throws a few more jabs to the body and then tries to step forward but Romero tries to meet him with a shot. Left hook from Romero lands to the head. Romero triples up on the left hand and misses on a big right hand afterwards. Right hand lead from Romero grazes Sparrow upstairs. Wide hook from Sparrow misses wildly. Now Sparrow gets a warning from the referee for holding. Uppercut from Romero sneaks in. Romero 10-9, 40-35.

Round 5: Sparrow’s trainer tells him that he has to earn some respect from Romero now. Sparrow tries a counter right that makes glancing contact. Romero lands a stiff jab. Two body shots lands pretty solid for Romero. Sparrow comes forward now and Romero throws three quick punches. Counter right hand from Romero makes some contact and Sparrow isn’t getting much of anything done. A couple of power punches from Romero land clean to the head of Sparrow. Sparrow lands a sweeping right hook to the body. Romero 10-9.

Round 6: Sparrow misses on a right hand at the end of a counter attack. Jab from Sparrow makes contact to the body. Romero has been moving backwards because he wants to for these past few rounds when he was physically dominating Sparrow earlier. Combination from Romero lands on Sparrow and Sparrow ties him up. Referee gives Sparrow a stern warning and says he’s on the verge of taking a point for holding. Left hand lead lands for Sparrow. Sparrow slips his head and tweaks his knee and hits the deck. Sparrow gets back up and Romero tries to take advantage by pouring it on Sparrow. Referee calls a timeout and takes two points from Sparrow for a low blow. Both fighters trade but neither land anything clean. Romero 10-7, 60-51.

Round 7: Sparrow tries to take a quick walk around the ring to test out if his knee can hold up. Double hook comes from Romero as Sparrow covers up. Sparrow’s corner throws in the towel as they know he’s compromised and down big on the cards! It’s over! Romero TKO-7.

Leo and Fulton were originally meant to meet one another for the vacant belt last August, but Fulton’s battle with COVID canceled that, and Leo defeated Tramaine Williams to claim the title instead. The 26-year-old Fulton now has his rescheduled opportunity, the first title defense for the 26-year-old Leo.

The co-feature is another 122-pound bout, as unbeaten fighters Ra’eese Aleem and Victor Pasillas square off for an interim WBA title, which more than anything puts the winner in line for bigger fights.

In the opener, Rolando Romero is facing very short-notice replacement Avery Sparrow in a 12-round lightweight bout. Romero’s interim WBA belt is not on the line as it would have been against original opponent Justin Pauldo, who missed weight by five pounds.
