Ring City USA proved to be one of 2020’s happier surprises, continually offering solid prospect matchups on convenient Thursday evenings. You’ll be happy to know that, according to Steve Kim, they’ll do much the same in 2021, starting with a rebooked super welterweight main event between Serhii Bohachuk and Brandon Adams on February 25th.
Bohachuk (18-0, 18 KO) and Adams (22-3, 14 KO) were supposed to meet on December 3rd, only for the former to withdraw due to illness and leave the latter to thrash Sanny Duversonne in two. It’s just as good a matchup as it was then, a lethal but largely untested power-puncher against a tough, experienced veteran.
February is really filling out nicely; January may be all but dead until Angelo Leo vs. Stephen Fulton on the 23rd, but next month will see this, Smith-Vlasov, Diaz-Rakhimov, Mayweather-Paul, Berchelt-Valdez, Canelo-Yildirim, and Parker-Fa. Even with the world on fire, I think that’s worth getting excited about.
