Tyson Fury stopped Deontay Wilder in the 11th round of their trilogy fight tonight in Las Vegas, but it didn’t all come easy for “The Gypsy King” in an instant classic, a true heavyweight war for the ages.
Wilder (42-2-1, 41 KO) was dropped in round three, but roared back to put Fury (31-0-1, 22 KO) down twice in the fourth round, and the fight was pins and needles the rest of the way.
But Fury seemed to be getting the better of the fight after the fourth, hurting Wilder repeatedly, only for Wilder to show unreal, unbelievable heart and resilience and keep going.
Fury put Wilder down again in the 10th, then finished things off at 1:10 of the 11th round, scoring another knockdown with referee Russell Mora absolutely having to stop the fight at that point.
