Gervonta Davis announced that he’ll be facing Rolando Romero in a December 5 fight at Staples Center in Los Angeles, with Showtime pay-per-view airing the bout, which has been a social media feud brewing for quite some time.
The two Mayweather Promotions stablemates have long expressed their disdain for each other — with Romero probably the more antagonistic of the two — and now it appears Romero will get the big fight he’s been seeking.
I’m BACK! Dec 5th, @ Staples Center in Los Angeles on Showtime PPV vs Rollie. #TheONE

Davis (25-0, 24 KO) is most recently coming off a knockout win over secondary 140 lb titleholder Mario Barrios this past June, which followed a highlight reel knockout over Leo Santa Cruz last Halloween. More recently, his headlines have come outside the ring, as he’s set for trial next spring on hit-and-run charges.
Romero (14-0, 12 KO) has talked a great deal about supposedly being a bigger puncher than Davis and hasn’t shied away from the personal insults to Davis, and now he’ll have to back up everything he’s said over the past couple of years. Romero last took a stoppage win over Anthony Yigit in July.
